The Journey

For those lucky (or silly!) enough to have a place on the boat for a leg of the journey
here is what you can expect

What next?

• Training
To get the best out of your time aboard and to
make sure you don’t freak out in blue water (i.e.
have got your sea legs!) You will be put through a
Power Boat Awareness and VHF Courses prior to
the event. This will be held off Cowes to include
some time ‘out at sea’.
The role of the 3rd and 4th seat is defnitely
not passenger. You will be a critical part of a
four man race team. Primary focus on repeat
navigation and comms. Safety is paramount,
closely followed by ‘a hell of a ride!’
All offshore, safety and comms equipment will be
provided for use on the leg.
(Don’t forget your fresh pants!)

• Accommodation
Two night’s bed and board is also provided, for
the nights before and after your journey, where
you will stay with the race team.

• See you there!
Make your way to your departure point where
you will meet up with us the evening before your
leg. You will stay with the team the night after
your leg and you then make your own way home
from your arrival point the following day.

Goodie Bag*

There will be a Quba bag for the survivors,
it will contain team memorabilia.
For example:
• Team Branded baseball cap
• Team Branded short sleeve shirt
• Team Branded gillet
• Team Photo
• Various sponsors merchandise
• Your invitation to a black tie gala dinner later in the summer.
